Collection of pictures from Chuck's Trip to Boston (Quincy) MA
to work on the USS Newport News Museum.

The
USS Newport News Museum
is located in her sister ship
The USS Salem CA-139,
which is part of the
United States Naval
Shipbuilding Museum,
in Quincy, Massachusetts.

The USS Newport News Association planned a "Work Party" to finish up our section of the museum. These web pages are a collection of pictures of the 41 former shipmates getting together, after many years of being apart, to complete the Museum dedicated to the ship we served on during our tour of duty.

How many years ago? Well, for me, it has been 30 years since I was on the ship and for some, over 50 years has passed since they were stationed on the USS Newport News!

It was a GREAT weekend! For me, it was like going back in time 30 years, to the days of being a Sailor and a young man. A lot of good and bad memories were had that weekend, but a lot more good memories than bad. It's not often we get a chance to go back to our youth and this weekend was defiantly a trip down that old memory lane!!
