Musical
Performance.
I spent the year of 1972 in
Vietnam on the Navy Cruiser USS
Newport News. Once every 4 to 8 weeks, the ship would pull into the
Naval base at Subic Bay, Philippines. I had made friends with a local band
that played at my favorite club (Bar) called "The Gentle Club". Each time
my ship came into port, the band would let me sit in on the drums for the
evening. After returning from Vietnam, I never picked up the drum
sticks again.
