This section covers information on my 5 foot long, Radio Control model of the USS Newport News. Information includes the construction of this scratch built model and lots of pictures. This is a reprint of my article published in the March & May 1996 issues of "Scale Ship Model" Magazine.

Scale Military Pier  Functional Military Pier in 1:144 Scale  
Now here is a strange one! A 5 foot by 3 foot "L" shaped detailed military pier with cargo crane, fork lifts, cars, trucks, and plenty of people doing assorted things on the pier. 9 B&W thumbnails that expand into large color pictures when clicked. This is a functional pier that I use for my R/C models when I go to the pond for a day of running my models!
